15-17/06 Red Tecnomifood presentation at the Food 4 Future – ExpoFoodTech2021

The partners of the Red Tecnomifood have participated in the Food 4 Future – ExpoFoodTech2021, a professional event of reference at European and international level, celebrated at the Bilbao Exhibition Center (BEC) from 15th to 17th of June.

 

Researchers from the 5 technology centers that make up the Re Tecnomifood  participated in a session on omics tools for the development of healthy foods and nutraceuticals, and shared their experience to support the food industry in new developments. The session was attended by Nuria Canela, director of the Eurecat Omic Sciences Unit; Celina Costas, head of the Biotechnology and Health research group at ANFACO-CECOPESCA; Itziar Tueros, coordinator of the AZTI Food and Health Area; Lidia Tomás, Project manager of the biotechnology department of AINIA and Raquel Virto, Technical-Scientific Manager of the R + D + i area of ​​CNTA.

 

During the three days of the event, all the challenges that the food sector will face in the coming years have been analysed, such as the digitization of the industry, the search for more sustainable and safe models, or innovation in food, ingredients and new products.

 

The event counted with the participation of more than 280 experts, 5400 visitors, 5000 streaming connections  and more than 56 conferences in which new market trends have been explored.
