21/12 Eurecat organizes the webinar “Functionality of bioactive compounds from plant sources based on omic technologies”
The Red Tecnomifood, together with its Eurecat partners, have organised the webinar “Functionality of bioactive compounds from plant sources based on omic technologies”, in which they showed the results of R + D + I projects in the field of application of omics sciences in the food industry. Specifically, the webinas has been focused on the healthy effects of the polyphenols present in oranges and the omic approaches made to understand their mechanisms of action.
Moreover, during the session, the company HealthTech BioActives, which is currently working with one of these polyphenols, hesperidin, has participated to explain the results of a study in which the bioavailability of its products was evaluated.
The session also counted with the intervention of representatives of AZTI, which will explain the strategies for the valorization of by-products of wine processing for their application in functional food.
