Nuria Canela, responsible of the Omic Sciences Unit of Eurecat, participated in the webinar series organised by METROFOOD, the Research Infrastructure for promoting Metrology in Food and Nutrition. The webinar was celebrated in a virtual format on March 7th.

During the webinar, Canela delivered the presentation “Application of omics technologies to the development of functional foods” and mentioned the Red Tecnomifood, explaining the main work done to implement and promote the application of omic sciencies in the food industry. 

The Red Tecnomifood consortium, accredited as a Cervera Centre of Excellence, is led by Eurecat and includes Azti, Ainia, the Centro Nacional de Tecnología y Seguridad Alimentaria (CNTA) and the Asociación Nacional de Fabricantes de Conservas de Pescados y Mariscos – Centro Técnico Nacional de Conservación de Productos de la Pesca (ANFACO – CECOPESCA).
