Abstract

A group of researchers from the University of Michigan has evaluated more than 5,800 foods, classifying them by their specific gravity in nutritional diseases and their impact on the environment. According to the study, substituting 10% of your daily caloric intake from beef and processed meats with a mixture of fruits, vegetables, nuts, legumes and shellfish could reduce your dietary carbon footprint by a third and lengthen 48 minutes of healthy life every day to people.
