China Approves Morinaga Company’s Bifidobacterium Strain for Use in Baby and Toddler Food

Abstract

China has licensed Bifidobacterium longum subsp.longum strain BB536, a probiotic ingredient from Japanese firm Morinaga Milk, for use in baby and toddler food. This ingredient has also been recognized by EFSA and the International Dairy Federation. This strain is backed by over 200 scientific studies, with benefits seen in infants and children.
