Abstract

 

Personalization of nutrition advice is a process already familiar to dietitian nutritionists, but it is not yet clear whether incorporating genetic results improves nutrition-related outcomes. An independent workgroup of experts conducted a systematic review to examine the level of evidence measuring the effect of incorporating  genetic testing results into nutrition counseling and care. 

 

A group of experts carried out a systematic review to examine the level of evidence that measures the effect of incorporating genetic test results into nutritional counseling and care. The recent study that only low-quality evidence is available in the scientific literature and that this field is still maturing.
