Abstract

A team of researchers from the CSIC has described a new method of editing the intestinal microbiota. This methodology allows enriching the microbiota with beneficial microorganisms that are not very abundant in a natural way, as well as eliminating those harmful, as well as allowing the study of their functions when they are absent. This research could open the way to new therapies to control microbiota changes associated with intestinal diseases.
