Abstract
We hypothesized that incorporating walnuts into the usual diet would improve the lipid profile. Our data also support a beneficial effect of the walnut diet on nuclear magnetic resonance–assessed lipoprotein subfractions, with reductions of intermediate density lipoprotein cholesterol and total LDL particles.
