Abstract
Cannabidiol (CBD) extracts have gained attention for their therapeutic efficacy. The present study used a zebrafish embryo tail fin amputation model and found that 1.25 mg / L crude CBD extract accelerated tail fin regeneration and reduced apoptosis after amputation, without altering mitotic regenerative cells.
Relevance for the Red Tecnomifood
Cannabidiol (CBD) is an ingredient that is having considerable market penetration and that, despite its regulatory barriers, may constitute an opportunity to produce functional foods. The article supports its regenerative capacities with scientific evidence.
