Abstract

The World Economic Forum elaborates the present state of the question on alternative protein sources to conventional meat that allow to supply the expected demand for the coming decades, taking into account the population increase and the need to find healthy and sustainable solutions. The cost and potential environmental and healthy impact of these alternatives with respect to meat are evaluated.
