Abstract

 

Considering the great development trend of the Camellia oleifera industry in China, thousands of tons of shells are produced, therefore, it can be made into a promising natural antioxidant, extending the industrial chain.

 

Importance of the article for the Red Tecnomifood

 

The results demonstrated that the polysaccharides from the Camellia oleifera shells possessed a strong antioxidant in vitro and in vivo. Therefore, the by-product in the Camellia oleifera process is a promising natural antioxidant that is applied in the pharmaceutical and food industries.
