Abstract

Yeast cells are emerging carriers of bio-inspired delivery due to the great potential in encapsulation of hydrophobic and hydrophilic compounds, protection against external environmental stresses, controlled release, biocompatibility and biodegradability. The promising result of research in the recent past on bioactive delivery suggests its bright future in functional food industries.
