Abstract
Taurine supplementation (TS) can minimize oxidative damage in women 55 to 70 y of age by modulating the antioxidant system. TS prevented decreases in the antioxidant enzyme superoxide dismutase. TS may be a viable nutritional strategy for controlling oxidative stress during the aging process.
