Abstract

An exhaustive analysis to determine the composition of the berries and flowers of elder grown in Galicia concludes that this shrub has a high content of phenolic compounds and that its antioxidant capacity is comparable to that of other fruits such as maqui and even higher than that provided by blueberries.
